Environmental Engineer (Associate) Company: The Boeing Company Location: Portland, OR (on‑site at the Boeing Portland Site, Gresham, Oregon) Position Overview The primary responsibility is to support the implementation of the environmental compliance program for the site, ensuring permit compliance, interfacing with regulatory agencies, leading programs for emergent environmental regulations, and advancing the site’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Responsibilities Support development, implementation, and administration of environmental management systems, processes, and programs. Support and develop compliance reviews of internal processes and practices. Evaluate facility conditions and recommend alternatives. Interface with regulatory agencies. Support other environmental compliance programs as needed. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher. 1+ year of experience with environmental compliance and program management. 1+ year of experience in air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, storage tanks, environmental sampling, data analysis, and/or environmental reporting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, or environmental management. 3+ years of experience with environmental compliance and regulations. Experience implementing or managing an environmental, health, and safety management system. Environmental permitting experience. Union This is a union‑represented position.
