The role focuses on clinical care of pediatric patients with bone marrow failure disorders and offers opportunities to collaborate with faculty across the Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the NCI‑designated Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Mailman School of Public Health, and the Columbia Initiative in Cell Engineering and Therapy (CICET). Key Responsibilities This role expands the Division’s program in pediatric bone marrow failure, providing advanced diagnostics, therapeutic guidance, and stem cell transplantation oversight. Serve as physician lead with clinical expertise in inherited and acquired bone marrow failure syndromes, delivering advanced diagnostic evaluation and longitudinal care. Collaborate with the Stem Cell Transplantation program to manage patients requiring cellular therapies or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Provide expertise in genetic predisposition to hematologic malignancies and pediatric cancer predisposition syndromes in collaboration with the Division of Genetics. Provide care to general pediatric hematology patients. Participate in teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity. Qualifications MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical License. Board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or equivalent with experience in caring for patients with bone marrow failure syndromes and other non‑malignant hematologic conditions. Consistently strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines. Demonstrated ability to create a high‑energy, results‑oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other's contributions and celebrate successes.
