How You'll Make an Impact in This Role

• Evaluate patients with respiratory insufficiencies to determine appropriate treatment types and frequencies, developing individualized respiratory care plans based on clinical diagnoses.
• Administer advanced respiratory modalities, manage therapeutic equipment, and implement prescribed patient care plans while continuously monitoring clinical progress.
• Monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient condition to the interprofessional healthcare team, assessing treatment efficacy and medication administration based on patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions, home management strategies, and available community support groups or resources.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• Minimum 5 years clinical experience
• Pulmonary rehab experience
