Athletic Trainer /Physical Therapist

Injury Care and Prevention Specialist Job ID: 299834 Location: Kennesaw, Georgia Employment Type: Full Time, Regular Job Summary Contributes to the prevention, acute care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries within recreational programs. Provides medical coverage of athletic activities, advises on the prevention and care of athletic injuries, team‑teaches athletic training classes, and assists in the daily operation of a clinical space under leader supervision. Responsibilities Perform injury evaluations and make a skilled assessment of injuries. Perform treatments with various appropriate modalities including ultrasound, ESTEM, ice, etc. Apply preventative taping and bracing procedures. Administer therapeutic and preventive exercise protocols. Provide acute and critical care coverage for club sports home games, including off‑campus home locations, and support clinical evaluation/rehabilitation care hours; may provide coverage for intramural games. Communicate effectively with athletes to educate about injuries, rehabilitation, and exercise protocols. Document clinical care, injury notes, and provide administrative support in HIPAA‑compliant software databases. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or related field. Current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license. NATABOC Certification. Eligibility to obtain Georgia state licensure within 30 days of hire. First Aid/CPR/AED certification. One year of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification. Advanced degree in a related field. Previous experience in athletic training in a post‑secondary level program or professional sports program. Proposed Salary Budgeted salary range: $51,600 to $60,000 per year.
