Overhead Crane Operator Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $17.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 04:00am to 02:30pm )
An Overhead Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating overhead cranes to lift, move, position, and transport materials, equipment, and products within a facility.
- Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently to move materials and equipment. Inspect cranes, hoists, chains, hooks, slings, and lifting devices before each shift.
- Conduct pre-operational safety checks and report defects or maintenance needs.
- Accurately position loads to support production, shipping, or construction activities.
Overhead Crane Operator Qualifications:
- Updated work history or resume required
- Knowledge of overhead crane operation and material handling procedures.
- Must complete paper application at Elwood Staffing Oxford for skills' evaluation
- Must be able to work 10 to 12 hour shifts
- Must have knowledge of tape measure
- Must have construction or heavy industrial experience
- Must be able to work in a hot and dusty work environment
- Must be able to work overtime
- High School Diploma or GED NOT required
- Must stand for entire shift
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- All leather steel toe boots required
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
