Clinical Supervisor-Senior (School of Dentistry)

Job Description Responsible for overseeing the administrative and clinical operations of assigned clinic(s). Ensures established clinic patient care standards and operational/employee policies are maintained and upheld. Leads or mentors lower level team members. Responsibilities Trains and evaluates personnel in assigned clinic(s). Monitors compliance with system usage through spot checking staff performance and reviewing standard system, ad-hoc, and monthly reports. Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities related to clinic operations. Supervises the administrative and clinical personnel of assigned area(s). Assess staffing needs and maintains masterwork schedule. Ensures quality, safety and satisfaction for the assigned clinic(s). Assists with maintaining annual operating expenditures within assigned budget guidelines while preserving quality patient care. Supports goals of the Institution and clinic by managing excellence in providing patient care and satisfying revenue flow. Coordinates insurance verification processes, including eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements prior to services being rendered. Ensures timely and accurate billing practices, including charge entry, claim submission, and resolution of billing discrepancies. Collaborates with providers and billing departments to ensure proper documentation supports coded services and reimbursement. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of service delivery protocols and treatment standards. Ability to give and receive feedback in clinical supervision, both informally and formally. Ability to be motivate and create commitment to excellence. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to make decisions guided by precedents, policies and objectives. Education High school diploma or GED is required. Licenses & Certifications Registered in the School of Dentistry as a Dental Assistant with the State of Texas State Board of Dental Examiners is preferred. Current nursing license, MA certification or Medical Technician certificate is preferred. Required Skills Five (5) years of experience in a medical office, department or clinic, including two (2) years of supervisory experience is required. Time Off Front‑loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire. Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken. Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment. Holidays: 12 set paid holidays each year.
