Specialist, Business Consulting - Alt Ventures

Overview Nationwide’s Property and Casualty team seeks a Specialist, Business Consulting to support the ESS Alternative Ventures & Emerging Markets planning unit. The role focuses on leveraging digital and data capabilities, streamlining operations, and delivering customer support. Key Responsibilities Partner with management and peers to transform businesses through strategic application of people, processes, and technology. Participate in business process analysis, design, needs assessments, and cost/benefit analysis to align solutions with business strategies. Develop and implement business processes and procedures, communicating with customers, management, and external stakeholders. Identify critical business process elements for monitoring and report performance in a cohesive manner. Participate in analysis and design of organizational structures, roles, responsibilities, governance, staffing, and sourcing to support business goals. Train customers on business, technological, societal, and environmental trends. Facilitate evaluation and research of new products, procedures, and workflow needs; evaluate emerging technologies and recommend system alternatives or enhancements. Assist in developing compelling business cases and in risk assessment and mitigation of current and future operating models. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Education and Experience Undergraduate studies in business, insurance, mathematics, computer science or related field preferred. Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in business consulting, process analysis and design, performance improvement, and project management preferred. Skills and Knowledge Proven knowledge of business process management methodologies, frameworks, and technology. Sound knowledge of project management concepts and techniques. Ability to lead large or sophisticated projects and to communicate effectively under ambiguity. Knowledge of facilitation, performance management, organizational design, and change management. Job Conditions Reporting Relationship: Manager/Director; individual contributor. Overtime Eligibility: Exempt (Not eligible).
