Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT

Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT Currently looking for qualified Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) to fill a full-time, night-shift 13-week contract opening in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Interested candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of previous experience as an RRT in an adult ICU setting. Benefits for the Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT

Responsibilities of the Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT

• Evaluate, treat, and care for patients who have breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Patient assessment and evaluation.
• Safe and effective administration of respiratory therapy treatments.
• Complete patient documentation.

Requirements of the Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT

• 2 years of experience is required
• 5 years of experience preferred
• Acquired adult intubation skills are preferred.
• Weekend rotation required as needed
• Must be able to work effectively independently, yet work together as part of a team
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure
• Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly
• Required skills include Airway management, Medication administration, Vent management, ABGs, 02 Therapy, Suction, Pulmonary toileting, Nebulizer, BiPAP, CPAP

RRT Certification & Requirements:

• ACLS (AHA) Certificate
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certificate,
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC

Candidates with the following skills are preferred: -Can provide a team approach in the delivery of a distressed newborn and C-section arena.
