Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | On-Call: Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
• Respond and report as assigned by unit management in the event of an emergency or disaster, which may include remaining at the facility until the event passes or serving as part of a relief team
• Participate in facility orientation, including completion of required modules during scheduled orientation days
• Adhere to all unit protocols, compliance requirements, and facility standards throughout the duration of the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI (CPI must be obtained prior to start if not already held)
• AHA certifications required (all applicable certs must be AHA-issued)
• Current NURSYS report required — must be dated within 4 weeks of submission date
• Two Manager or Supervisor references required for clearance to start (Charge RN references are not acceptable)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility address) — local travelers are not accepted
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• No call-ins permitted — reliability and attendance are strictly enforced

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
• Strong ability to adapt quickly to new environments and facility-specific workflows
• Experience working in high-acuity or high-volume emergency department settings
