Cyber Threat Team Lead

ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Cyber Threat Team Lead in our Linthicum, MD office in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) customer as part of a highly talented, highly motivated, and high-performing team. Individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity, committed to excellence, and eager to make a meaningful impact are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Conduct periodic performance check-ins with teamConduct final reviews of threat reportsLead a small team of cyber analystsMonitor JIRA for various tickets and respond/assign as neededCompose cyber reports for Defense Industrial Base partnersConduct open-source research of indicators of compromise utilizing common threat vendor toolsAnalyze threat data from various sources and provide updates to government stakeholders as appropriateProvide cyber threat briefs to internal and external audiences as requested, and provide feedback to other briefers as part of a “dry-run review team”QualificationsQualifications:Experience conducting in-depth research in classified and commercial databases and producing written products showing Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) pattern analysisExperience with SIEM technologiesKnowledge of current and emerging cyber adversariesExperience with Department of Defense Cyber OperationsKnowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill ChainKnowledge of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)Experience with Jira or other similar platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)Excellent verbal and written communication skills requiredSelf-motivated individual with attention to detailProven ability to display strong emotional intelligence and foster positive relationships with clients and colleaguesProven ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse teamsActive Secret clearance required (TS/SCI preferred)6 years of relevant experience, may have leadership experiencePeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
