About the Role:

STEAM ON LEARNING CENTER LLC in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a passionate and dedicated VPK Teacher to join our growing team! Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) curriculum aligned with state standards
• Create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Assess and monitor student progress and school readiness skills
• Incorporate STEAM-based learning activities into daily lessons
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development
• Maintain accurate attendance, documentation, and compliance records
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support whole-child development

Requirements:

• Florida VPK Teacher Certification or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Prior experience teaching preschool or VPK-age children (ages 4–5)
• Knowledge of Florida VPK performance standards and early literacy development
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Must pass Level 2 background screening
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for early childhood education
