Electrical Engineer

The Defense Sector at Leidos has an opening for an Electrical Engineer that will contribute to full lifecycle engineering efforts, including concept development, detailed design, integration, and verification of electrical and electronic hardware for the Test Instrumentation & Lethal Mechanisms (TI&LM) Portfolio . This position will be based onsite at Leidos in Huntsville, AL. Primary Responsibilities Design, develop, and test analog and digital circuits and systems Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and validation testing Support printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) design, layout coordination, and bring-up activities Support system integration and troubleshooting of hardware issues Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical solutions Analyze test data and recommend design improvements Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, and reporting Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field w/ 4-8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s with 2+ years Experience with circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting Experience supporting PCBA design, layout coordination, and/or board bring-up Familiarity with both analog and digital design principles Ability to work independently and contribute to technical decision-making Ability and willingness to obtain a DoD Clearance in the future as needed. (U.S. Citizenship required) Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama Preferred Qualifications Experience with Electronic Safe and Arm Fuzes (ESAF) or similar safety‑critical electronic systems Experience with RF systems or Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Proficiency in hardware design and development tools Experience with Python or other scripting languages for analysis/automation Familiarity with VHDL or FPGA‑based design Experience supporting product development or system integration Strong understanding of signal integrity, noise reduction, and system performance What You’ll Bring Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to work through ambiguous technical challenges Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams Initiative and ownership of technical work Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 Pay and benefits are fundamental to any career decision.
