Salary: $71,000 - $97,700/YR *Actual offer will be based on experience, location, education, and/or skills*

About the Role

Under the direction of the Director of Compliance, the compliance analyst supports implementation of the requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), assists with fair lending reviews, conducts periodic loan and deposit audits, and ensures staff adheres to internal policies and government regulations to mitigate compliance risk. This position will also be required to help submit the bank's CRA and HMDA data while helping ensure it meets stringent accuracy requirements, analyze the data for purposes of fair lending and CRA compliance, and develop a good understanding of the different software the bank utilizes for analysis. The compliance analyst will perform other duties as required which will include creating audit reports, ensuring corrective action is implemented, assist with providing compliance training to staff members, and other duties as assigned. 

 

What You'll Do

• Conduct compliance audits related to lending and deposit regulations including but not limited to ECOA, HMDA, CRA, TILA, RESPA, Reg E, Reg CC, and additional compliance audits as assigned.
• Oversee the collection and reporting of CRA-related loan originations, investments, donations and services on a company wide basis in compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act.
• Assist in the verification and analysis of HMDA and CRA data to ensure compliance with Reg B and BB.
• Prepare reports for the various committees which detail the bank's performance and effectiveness in complying with various regulations.
• Provide consulting and research for internal clients and departments
• Interface with regulatory agency examiners during compliance and CRA examinations, oversee information production, and help ensure compliance issues are adequately addressed where appropriate.
• Acts as a key partner in the creation and analysis of various departmental reports; develops recommendations to improve processes and procedures based on trends/themes.
• Maintains and applies current knowledge of and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, policies and procedures.

 

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (required).
• 3-5 years of experience with a bank or financial services provider in Credit, Lending or CRA (preferred).
• Experience with regulatory and legal loan compliance requirements.
• Ability to research, interpret, and apply complex government regulations.
• Experience with Questsoft CRA Analytics and Wolters Kluwer Fair Lending Wiz software preferred.
• Basic understanding of personal and business tax returns.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
