Provides leadership in evaluating, allocating, and managing human, physical and financial resources for the location. Optimizes the profitable growth of the business, the personal growth of employees, and the satisfaction of customers.What You'll DoExecutes the business plan and achieves financial performance, including sales, budgets and cost control, according to established goals for a location(s)Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all existing and new customers and resolves any elevated customer issuesEnsures that appropriate communication takes place within and across all departments at the store location(s) which may include leading regular department management staff meetings and all employee meetingsCommunicates the dealership values, principles, vision and mission within their locationCommunicates with other store managers to implement best practices and consistent processes for all departments within the organizationSupports corporate managers in implementing changes in any department within the locationEnsures the successful planning and execution of marketing activities and eventsOversee maintenance, security and a professional appearance of the facility and property for the locationMay represent the company for the sale of machinery to key customers as neededResponsible for hiring, development and coaching, evaluation, and effectiveness of the management team and other employees within their storeManages on-going relationships with key John Deere personnelRequirementsWhat it Takes5+ years of experience in a retail environment1+ additional years of experience as a parts or service manager or in a sales role preferredFamiliar with John Deere and competitive productsExperience dealing with elevated customer issuesAbility to lead and motivate othersPreferredBachelor's degree in agriculture, Business or equivalent experience preferredEducationHigh school diploma or GEDPhysical RequirementsManeuver on/under heavy equipment and around construction/agricultural sites with loose-footing and irregular terrain.Operate a motor vehicle both day and night.While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephoneSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirementsHearing ability is sufficient to communicate with others in person or over the phoneLight to moderate lifting may be required (up to 50 pounds)Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed
