At Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life.We have an immediate opening for a full-time Collection Specialist in our Billing & Insurance Department. This position is based out of our Marshalltown Clinic.Responsibilities:Review aging accounts thoroughly before transferring them to external collections to ensure accuracy.Trace and verify all previous payments, insurance adjustments, and copays to prevent incorrect collection balances.Answer inbound patient calls regarding statements, itemized bills, and deductibles with a high level of customer service.Clearly explain medical charges, insurance denials, and patient financial responsibilities to resolve disputes amicably.Guide patients through their billing questions and set up internal payment options when necessary.Regularly review the online patient portal system to locate, track, and verify recent electronic payments.Candidates must have attention to detail, excellent patient service skills, and high regard for confidentiality.
