Public Space Attendant

The public space attendant ensures the cleanliness, safety, and welcoming appearance of a facility's common areas. They primarily sanitize restrooms, vacuum hallways, empty trash, and respond to guest requests. This vital role creates a positive first impression and maintains high hygiene standards. Responsibilities Facility Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, and stairwells. Sanitation: Deep clean and sanitize public and employee restrooms, ensuring supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) are fully stocked. Trash & Linen Management: Empty trash receptacles, ash urns, and dispose of garbage in designated areas. Collect and transport soiled linens to laundry areas if working in a hotel. Guest Services: Greet guests, assist with inquiries, and respond quickly to urgent requests or spills. Safety & Hazard Response: Report maintenance issues to the engineering department and place caution signs when floors are wet or undergoing cleaning. Qualifications Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts, push/pull heavy machinery, and lift up to 50lbs. Attention to Detail: Strong eye for spotting debris, stains, and facility damage. Time Management: Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete daily checklists without direct supervision.
