The Occupational Therapist will:

• Measure and record residents' function, ADLs, self-care, and functional mobility.
• Observe residents and write evaluations, progress reports, discharges, and all necessary documentation.
• Assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat residents with a variety of techniques.
• Help residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve function.
• Maintain residents' confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to the entire team's effort and goals.

OT requirements include:

• A graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Current NJ state OT license.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.
