Position Overview Job Title: Physician – Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Prosthetics/Orthotics/Limb Loss Medical Director (Open Rank/Track Faculty). The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a BC/BE physiatrist for an outpatient position with unlimited potential for growth. The candidate should have experience with prosthetic, orthotic, assistive device prescription, evaluation of musculoskeletal conditions and gait analysis. Academic rank and track are commensurate with academic record and experience. Benefits include retirement, medical, dental, malpractice, conferences and vacation. Duties & Responsibilities The physiatrist will serve as Medical Director of the outpatient limb loss service line, collaborating with the outpatient limb loss therapy team and the Military Medicine plastic surgery team. Responsibilities include patient care, education, and clinical research in line with the department’s tripartite mission. Provide expert patient care within established medical center standards. Collaborate with therapy and surgery teams to deliver comprehensive limb loss service. Contribute to teaching, training, research, and scholarly pursuits. Serve on program and department committees, conferences, and professional meetings. Requirements MD or DO. Successful completion of an accredited PM&R residency program.
