Dietitian (Clinical)

Job Title

Major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify nutrition-related problems.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• Document care using the ADIME format in the medical record.
• Calculate nutrition needs, restrictions, and diet prescriptions for diverse patients.
• Recommend and collaborate on nutrition support interventions with the healthcare team.
• Provide tailored nutrition education and counseling to individuals and groups.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively across care teams.
• Maintain productivity standards and accurate clinical documentation.
• Support performance improvement, data collection, and service-level initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and VA clinical standards.
• Serve as liaison with Food Operations to enhance patient dining and satisfaction.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support coordinated patient care.
• Follow VA computer security, privacy, and data-protection requirements.
• Deliver care that is sensitive to age, developmental, and cultural differences among Veterans.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Telework: Yes - as determined by the agency policy.
