NP/PA - Inpatient Cardiology - Grand Rapids, MI Corewell Health's Cardiovascular Health department seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our 24/7 inpatient cardiology team. This full-time APP role manages complex cardiac patients, responds to acute events, and collaborates closely with physicians, fellows, and nursing staff to deliver exceptional care. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, with a background in cardiology, critical care, acute care surgery, or trauma highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient cardiology care including daily rounds and acute event management. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and maintain frequent communication with attending physicians. Perform routine procedures with training available to develop proficiency. Respond to emergent cardiac situations with confidence and clinical judgment. Maintain flexibility to cross-cover interventional cardiology and advanced heart failure services. Team & Structure Collaborative team of 20 APPs, both PA-C and NP providers. Combination of 8‑hour and 12‑hour shifts. Scheduling accommodates personal shift-length preferences and ensures recovery time after weekend shifts. Qualifications Physician Assistant Required Master's Degree; Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program. LIC‑Physician Assistant - State of Michigan. CRT‑Physician Asst Certified (PA‑C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. CRT‑Life Support BLS & ACLS. Nurse Practitioner Required Master's Degree; Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post‑master’s or doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. 3 years of current, relevant clinical experience.
