HR Generalist

Take ownership of payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws Manage and administer HRIS, benefits, and payroll (BambooHR), applicant tracking system (JazzHR), and performance management system (15Five) Maintain accurate and up-to-date people records, including organizational charts and sales territory/coverage maps Cross-train on benefits and payroll administration, providing backup coverage for biweekly payroll processing as needed Support recruitment efforts by managing job postings, screening talent, and coordinating a seamless interview experience for candidates Lead the entire onboarding journey, including I-9 verification, orientation, training schedule coordination, and probationary reviews Support employee visa and immigration processes, including preparing documentation, coordinating with immigration counsel, and tracking case status Work with vendor partners for compliance reporting (AAP and VETS-4212) Oversee leave administration (FMLA and other state-specific leave types) Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and help resolve workplace conflicts Serve as a bridge for employee relations matters under the guidance of the Sr. HR Manager Plan and develop company events designed to foster real connections across the hybrid work environment Requirements Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Human Resources and/or Business Administration 3+ years of work experience in an HR-related field, preferably as a generalist Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Administration experience in ATS, HRIS, and LMS Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws (multi-state, including CA) and regulations Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines for the team Ability to analyze processes, identify problems, and develop effective solutions and strategies Strong attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with job sites LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and Indeed Commute to the office located in Cerritos, CA minimum 3 times per week SHRM or HRCI Certification (bonus qualification) Experience processing payroll with multi-state employees (bonus qualification) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in payroll processing, benefits administration, and HRIS management while ensuring compliance with labor laws.
