At Ameron, our products include pre-stressed, spun-cast concrete and round tapered steel poles that service the commercial & industrial, transportation (DOT), municipal, intermodal & utility markets.What You Will Do:Use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in the area including but not limited to plumbing, electrical systems/components, HAVC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentPerform high voltage electrical repairs (controls, relays)Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and test equipmentMake electronic, mechanical, or electrical repairs on computer-controlled equipmentTroubleshoot electronically controlled production equipmentFabricate and install new equipment and coordinate with contractors on such as necessaryMaintain machinery according to Preventative Maintenance ProgramMaintain a critical spare parts inventoryPerform regular inspections on cranes and lifting equipment per Ameron and Arcosa standardsFollow all safety rules and practicesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsPreferred Behaviors:Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityDetail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done wellTeam Player: Works well as a member of a groupPreferred Motivations:Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organizationSelf-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside helpFlexibility: Inspired to perform well when granted the ability to set your own schedule and goalsPreferred Education:High School or better.Technical/other training or better.Preferred Experience:A minimum of 3 years of related mechanical maintenance and high voltage (3 phase480V or higher) Electrical experience. Crane, Welding and PLC experience preferred. PLC and ladder logic programing a plus. Ability to understand principles of mechanical and electrical controls and understand general mechanical and electrical schematics. The ability to troubleshoot and test all electrical applications.
