Senior Accountant

Job TitleCORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.Analyze financial results and explain account variances.Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls.Support internal and external audit requests.Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting.Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.Support SOX compliance and documentation.Review production order settlements and manufacturing postings within SAP.QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:BS or BA degree in accounting or FinanceBig Four experience preferred5+ years of accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment. Public company and Aerospace & Defense Industry experience preferred.CPA required.SAP experiencePossess a strong general accounting knowledge, including GAAP and related principles and practices.Sound business judgement and ability to synthesize, analyze, and extract implications from data.Ability to frame unstructured and complex analytical problems to a broad audience.Strong business partnering skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, & Word.
