Machine Builder Job Description This position is for a Machine Builder working on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturdays from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The role involves assembling machined and purchased components to build machines. Responsibilities Perform assembly of machined and purchased components. Build components required for the functioning of machines. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Wire junction boxes as needed. Utilize basic hand tools effectively. Essential Skills 5 years of experience in machine building. Proficiency in blueprint reading and electrical wiring. Experience with TIG welding, MIG welding, and mechanical assembly. Ability to use hand tools and perform electrical assembly. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with the MIM chassis dyno, Model 3600 Roll Brake Tester, and Non-Contact Alignment Machine. Understanding of the centering system and pneumatic cylinders. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in a clean environment within a 2-shift facility. The machines are built entirely in-house from the fabrication shop, through the CNC department, to machine build and paint. The position is located in Grand Rapids. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
