Job Description Job Description Full-Time Handyman / Maintenance Technician Location: Key West, FL Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Availability: Weekends & emergency calls as needed Employment Type: Full-Time Property Type: Multifamily residential buildings Owner: Private owner JobSummary We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Full-Time Handyman / Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair multifamily residential properties in Key West. This role requires hands-on experience across multiple trades and responsibility for both interior maintenance and exterior upkeep of the buildings. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in theirwork, and canworkindependently while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-kept property environment. Key Responsibilities · Perform general maintenance and repairs across residential units and common areas · Completeworkorders efficiently and professionally · Plumbing repairs , including fixing leaks, replacing faucets, toilets, valves, and clearing minor clogs · Electricalwork , including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues · Painting & drywallwork , including touch-ups, patching holes, minor drywall repairs, and unit refreshes · Window A/C installation and replacement , including removing old units and ensuring proper installation and operation · General handyman duties , such as door and lock repairs, cabinet and hardware installation, appliance troubleshooting (basic), and window/screen replacement · Assist with unit turnovers to prepare apartments for new tenants · Perform preventive maintenance to minimize future issues · Maintain outdoor and common area cleanliness , including: o Picking up litter and debris o Sweeping walkways, stairwells, and entry areas o Keeping trash areas clean and organized o Reporting exterior or safety concerns · Maintain tools, materials, andworkareas in a clean and organized manner · Respond to after-hours, weekend, and emergency maintenance calls as needed · Communicate clearly with property management regarding repair status and material needs Qualifications & Requirements · 3–5 years of experience as a handyman or maintenance technician required · Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, window A/C units, and general building maintenance · Ability toworkindependently and problem-solve effectively · Comfortable working in occupied residential units · Reliable transportation required · Own basic hand tools · Physically able to lift, carry, climb ladders, and perform manual labor · Dependable, punctual, and professional · Professional references required Preferred (Not Required) · Experience with multifamily or apartment buildings · Familiarity with maintenanceworkorder systems · Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
