Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist will administer ionizing radiation treatments to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist, ensuring safe and accurate practices in accordance with New York State regulations. The role involves operating high-voltage machinery, interpreting treatment plans, and monitoring patient responses throughout therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver prescribed radiation treatments to patients following established protocols.
• Enter and maintain precise patient treatment data in electronic medical records.
• Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions and report findings promptly.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to radiation equipment and ensure safety adherence.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to optimize patient care and compliance.
• Follow safety protocols established by NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO to maintain radiation safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT certification and NY State Radiation Therapist license or eligible to obtain during onboarding.
• Successfully completed an AMA-accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• Possess at least 2 years of relevant radiation therapy experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills essential for monitoring treatment and reactions.
