Here, you'll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.As a Field Service Engineer at Boston Scientific, you will serve as a trusted technical partner to our customers by installing, maintaining, and servicing Boston Scientific medical systems and devices. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires strong technical expertise and the ability to solve problems independently.This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction through a consistent commitment to delivering high-quality service. You will manage your own territory and work closely with healthcare providers and patients to support optimal equipment performance, user training, and overall service delivery. This role supports Boston Scientific's Cardiovascular Division, including products such as IVUS, AVVIGO, AngioJet, ICEfx, FARAPULSE, Rhythmia, and SmartFreeze systems.Collaboration with cross-functional teams may include support for sales, complaint resolution, event coverage, and field documentation, depending on business needs.The selected candidate will reside near Las Vegas, NV and provide coverage to the Southwest Region of the U.S. as needed. This position offers a high level of independence, with support and collaboration from senior team members as required.Your responsibilities will include:Provide on-site service including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of medical systems and equipmentTrain and educate medical staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and basic troubleshootingDeliver technical support for field escalations, customer concerns, and warranty inquiriesManage routine and emergency service requests within your assigned territoryAccurately document service events, complaint information, and system updates using internal toolsAdhere to standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirementsParticipate in projects, event support, or cross-functional tasks as required by the business unitMaintain strong communication with internal teams, customers, and leadership regarding service activities and prioritiesRequired qualifications:1 year of experience with an Associate's degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the role.Examples of equivalent combinations may include (but are not limited to): High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of relevant field service, technical, or biomedical equipment experienceCompletion of a biomedical equipment technician (BMET) certification, formal technical training program, or military technical training with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experienceBachelor's degree in a related field with relevant technical experience (e.g., field service, maintenance, repair, or support of complex equipment)Minimum of 1 year in a role requiring travel to customer or field/remote sitesStrong understanding of electronic systems, including analog and digital circuitryProficiency in troubleshooting and servicing complex technical or medical equipmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindsetAbility to travel approximately 75% of the time to service customers, sometimes on short noticeAbility to work independently and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervisionValid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable service vehicle that meets company insurance requirementsPreferred qualifications:Prior technical field service, biomedical, or military technical MOS experienceExperience in hospital or ambulatory surgery environmentsBusiness unit-specific experience: Cardiovascular Devices: Background in EP, Cath Lab, or imaging technologiesCertification or coursework in Laser Technology, Electronics, or Biomedical EngineeringStrong proficiency with business systems and Microsoft Office SuiteThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
