Senior Java DeveloperGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role is focused on designing, developing, and supporting high-performance, scalable microservices and event-driven applications for critical order management and trade processing platforms. The ideal candidate will leverage strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and Kafka to deliver resilient, production-ready solutions for high-volume transaction systems.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and support scalable microservices and event-driven applicationsDevelop highly available and resilient enterprise solutions for high-volume financial and trading platformsDesign and develop RESTful APIsTroubleshoot production database and application issues with strong debugging skillsUtilize Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines for automated deploymentsRequirements:8+ years of hands-on Java development experienceStrong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Microservices architectureStrong SQL skills with experience in complex queries, joins, performance tuning, and data modelingExperience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or CockroachDBStrong knowledge of Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, partitioning, and event-driven architecture patternsExperience with asynchronous messaging and distributed systemsDesired Skills:Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShiftExperience with Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring toolsExperience implementing resiliency patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, and failover mechanismsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologiesPay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
