While our Northern California division specializes primarily in plumbing systems, you\'ll also have opportunities to support additional MEP scopes as projects require. You'll work closely with clients, field leadership, estimating, procurement, and executive leadership to deliver exceptional results while helping grow one of AMPAM\'s expanding business units. The Opportunity This is a newly created position supporting the continued growth of our Northern California operations. You'll lead complex plumbing construction projects while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, and project stakeholders. This role offers significant autonomy, direct impact on business performance, and the opportunity to mentor the next generation of project management professionals. What You'll Do Lead multiple multifamily plumbing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Drive project schedules, budgets, profitability, quality, and client satisfaction. Own project financial performance, including forecasting, cost management, billing, cash flow, and margin improvement. Manage contract administration, negotiations, change orders, and risk mitigation. Build long-term relationships with owners, developers, and general contractors. Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Area Managers, and field leadership. Collaborate with estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery. Champion safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. What Success Looks Like During your first year, you\'ll: Successfully lead multiple large multifamily construction projects. Build trusted relationships with owners, general contractors, and project teams. Deliver projects that meet or exceed financial and operational goals. Mentor and develop members of the project management team. Help support the continued growth of AMPAM\'s Northern California operations. What You Bring Experience Progressive experience managing plumbing, mechanical, or MEP construction projects. Experience successfully delivering large multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects. Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership. Experience leading project teams and developing high-performing employees. Experience managing multiple concurrent construction projects. Skills Strong knowledge of plumbing or MEP construction, building codes, scheduling, and construction sequencing. Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills. Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Spectrum, or similar construction management software. PMP, PE, CCM, or DBIA certification is a plus. Compensation The expected hiring range for this position is $150,000–$175,000+ annually , depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
