Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (Self-Scheduling) | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department seeing 80–90 patients per day, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and care for a diverse patient population including trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac cases across a 24-bed, 3-bay ED with Fast Track capabilities
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythms independently, as no monitor technicians are on unit
• Participate in triage on an occasional basis within a dedicated triage area
• Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, house supervisors, nurse aides, paramedics, and patient sitters as part of an integrated care team
• Float to other units as qualified; no call or standby requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Current TNCC certification
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with Paragon preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac patient populations
• Familiarity with Paragon EMR
• Comfort working in an intermixed ER hold environment where RNs manage their own hold patients
