Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Days/Nights | Rotating in 4-Week Blocks | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based critical care nursing to patients with complex neurological conditions in a combined ICU and Progressive Care Unit setting
• Monitor and manage critically ill neuroscience patients utilizing advanced technology and evidence-based practices to optimize neurological recovery and patient outcomes
• Deliver expert care to patients recovering from acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, neurointerventional radiology procedures, and neurosurgical interventions
• Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, neurointensivists, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care
• Perform neurological assessments including NIHSS scoring and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the continuum of recovery

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Neuro ICU (NCCU) clinical experience required
• Level 1 trauma/critical care experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients undergoing neurointerventional radiology procedures and neurosurgical interventions
• Familiarity with advanced neurological monitoring and progressive care unit workflows
