How you will fit in the big picture The Shipping Supervisor (3rd Shift) plays a critical role in driving safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations within the plant. This role leads hourly production personnel while ensuring alignment with plant goals, regulatory requirements, and Hershey’s commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This is a primarily 3rd shift position (10:00 pm – 7:30 am) with flexibility required for weekends, overtime, and potential shift changes. Accountabilities What will you do? Lead and manage hourly production employees to safely and effectively meet operational goals Ensure compliance with food safety, product quality, and employee safety standards Coordinate daily activities across departments and shifts to support plant operations Analyze performance results, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives Investigate safety, quality, and productivity issues and develop action plans Manage daily staffing, timekeeping, and attendance tracking Utilize SAP for documentation, reporting, and maintenance coordination (SAP PM) Review QA documentation and production data to identify trends and drive improvements Resolve routine manufacturing, shipping, and maintenance issues through escalation processes Communicate effectively with team members and peers through huddles, meetings, and one‑on‑one interactions Champion Hershey Lean initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement Minimum Requirements Education Bachelor’s Degree preferred Experience Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or a high‑speed, complex environment required Previous supervisory experience preferred, ideally in logistics or shipping operations Food manufacturing experience preferred SAP experience preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required Knowledge of shipping industry standards and regulatory requirements preferred Benefits And Perks Health & Wellbeing: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus wellness programs that support your physical and mental health Financial Security: Competitive pay, annual incentive opportunities, and a 401(k) with company match Time Off & Flexibility: Paid time off, company holidays, and flexible ways of working where applicable Growth & Development: Career development programs, learning opportunities, and internal mobility Benefits may vary based on role, location, and eligibility.
