Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Frederick, MD

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in the care of adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring and closer observation. The PCU provides a robust environment for treating cardiac diagnoses, stroke, and post-surgical patients while maintaining a focus on high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and care for patients in the PCU with telemetry needs.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for patient care planning.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 3 years of experience in a nursing role.
• Current RN license in Virginia or compact license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred.
