Content Specialist III Dispatcher

Garrett Transit Service, a department of Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc., is accepting applications for a Dispatcher (CSIII). High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Applicants must have an excellent knowledge of the Garrett County Road System and of the surrounding area. Experience in the transportation field is preferred but not required. Must have good verbal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with all types of clients within our community. Proficient computer skills are required. Applicants must be willing to complete Basic First Aid and CPR training. This is a safety sensitive position; therefore, the successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing while employed. The successful applicant must pass a criminal background check. This is a full-time position with full agency benefits.

Full-time employees receive full benefits such as 12 annual leave days, 18 sick leave days, 7 paid holidays, and 8 floating holidays. Full-time employees also have the option of health, vision and dental insurance along with a Flexible Spending Account Plan. Mandatory enrollment in the Maryland State Pension System for eligible employees. This is an hourly position with a beginning rate of $15.85-$18.16 per hour and is based on experience.
