Provide quality instruction based on established curriculum and state standards. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Display a commitment to learning for all students. Possess a strong background in literacy instruction. Ability to implement differentiated instruction and/or instructional strategies that are reflective of best practices. Create a positive educational climate for students. Meet course and school-wide student performance goals. Participate in ongoing training sessions and professional development as required. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date gradebook via PowerSchool throughout the school year. Observe and evaluate student performance. Collaborate in grade level teams to discuss student work, share best practices, and ensure student mastery of standards. Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met. Prepare and distribute required reports. Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures. Establish ongoing communications with parents and guardians to report student performance and progress. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal. Qualifications Must have valid SC Teacher Certificate/License or anticipate Certificate/License.
