This Forklift Operator position is based on site in Garland, Texas, within a warehouse and distribution environment. The role supports a focus on accurate order selection, shipping, and material handling. The Forklift Operator will work as a Distribution Clerk, combining forklift operation with order picking, packing, and documentation tasks. This role requires adherence to warehouse and shipping best practices, accurate processing of freight, and effective communication with team members and supervisors.

What You Will Do?

• Operate sit-down and stand-up reach forklifts to move, stage, and organize inventory safely while following warehouse and shipping best practices at all times.
• Perform order selecting by accurately picking and pulling customer orders from inventory locations according to pick tickets or system instructions.
• Pack completed orders by verifying item accuracy, quantities, and packaging requirements before preparing them for shipment or further processing.
• Process outbound shipments using UPS shipping procedures and systems, including labeling, documentation, and handoff of parcels and freight.
• Assist with processing freight by receiving, checking, and organizing inbound materials, ensuring they are correctly documented and placed in storage.
• Use basic Microsoft Office applications to enter data, update order status, and maintain simple records related to warehouse and distribution activities.
• Apply math skills to calculate and count quantities, verify inventory levels, and reconcile order counts with documentation or system records.
• Follow established workflow and prioritize tasks based on shipping deadlines, supervisor direction, and changing warehouse operational requirements.

Your Skills

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of warehouse, distribution, or related experience, demonstrating familiarity with order processing and material handling operations.
• At least 2 to 3 years of forklift experience with both sit-down and stand-up equipment, with current forklift certification preferred for safe operation.
• Knowledge of warehouse and shipping best practices, including picking, pulling, packing, UPS shipping, and processing freight in a structured environment.
• Ability to use basic Microsoft Office applications, demonstrating sufficient computer literacy to support documentation, simple data entry, and communication.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write English clearly for instructions and documentation.
• Demonstrated math aptitude with the ability to calculate and count accurately, supporting order verification, inventory control, and freight processing tasks.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage priorities and workflow in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
• High school diploma or GED, or one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as accepted.
• SAP experience preferred for working with warehouse management or inventory systems, with Hazmat certification preferred for handling regulated materials when needed.

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
