Maintenance Technician – JLLThe Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the physical integrity and operational excellence of our facilities. This position performs diverse skilled and semi-skilled tasks across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and strong problem-solving abilities, you'll ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and fully operational—directly supporting JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional property management services. This is an opportunity to showcase your mechanical aptitude while working in a dynamic environment where your technical expertise makes a measurable impact every day.What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and compliance issues across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systemsComplete assigned work orders and maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC support, roofing, and grounds maintenance in a timely and professional mannerConduct preventive maintenance, evaluate equipment conditions, and make recommendations to prevent costly downtime while documenting all work activities accuratelyRespond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests, including participation in shared on-call rotation for after-hours supportTroubleshoot reported problems, determine effective corrective measures, coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs, and ensure all work areas are clean upon completionAssist in moving and placing furniture, fixtures, and equipment using proper equipment and safety standardsFollow OSHA regulations and all applicable health, safety, and environmental guidelines while reporting any unsafe situations or practices to supervisorsRequired Qualifications:Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with proven ability to obtain/demonstrate electrical and mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilitiesAbility to understand mechanical problems and solve them effectively with minimal supervisionProficiency in reading blueprints, schematic diagrams, and equipment manualsStrong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skillsExperience performing maintenance and repairs across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC)Ability to maintain accurate records of work orders and maintenance activitiesPhysical ability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various environmental conditionsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and building management systemsExperience coordinating with external vendors for specialized repair servicesKnowledge of compliance requirements and facility safety standardsPrevious experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenanceBasic computer skills for work order management and documentation systemsHVAC, electrical, or plumbing certificationsExperience with emergency response and after-hours maintenance supportLocation: Onsite – Portsmouth, NHThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
