Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting with Alzheimer’s/dementia diagnoses, including comfort and safety.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and interactions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, document findings, and contribute to care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor resident safety, assist with activities of daily living, and implement de-escalation strategies for behavioral symptoms.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members; maintain clear and compliant documentation and regulatory records.
• Ensure infection control, wound care, and appropriate patient transfers while adhering to facility policies and standards.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN)
• Experience in long-term care or dementia care preferred
• Ability to work evenings in a secure dementia care environment
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to commit to 40 hours per week with potential overtime
• Ability to work in the listed setting and comply with applicable regulations
