Emergency Room Nurse

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Deliver compassionate, efficient, and safe care while collaborating with healthcare teams to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions accurately and prioritize urgent care needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Utilize medical equipment such as defibrillators, IV pumps, and monitoring systems effectively.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate with team members.
• Float to various units or departments as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and clinical competence.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Hawaii nursing license prior to starting the assignment.
• Possess over 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV skills and managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma cases.
• Maintain current certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Understand core measures, National Patient Safety Goals, and patient service protocols like AIDET and Press Ganey.
