Fan Development Associate

The Fan Development Associate position offers a dynamic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in grassroots marketing, event execution, and fan engagement strategies within a professional sports environment. As a key part of the Fan Development team, associates support the execution of campaigns, events, and programs that bring the Thunder brand to life within the market and beyond. This role is ideal for energetic, solutions-oriented individuals who enjoy working with people, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are eager to contribute to meaningful fan experiences during the Thunder season.In this role you will:Support the execution of grassroots marketing initiatives and fan development programs across regional marketsAssist with game night and event operations, including setup, teardown, and promotional item distributionExecute market appearance requests, logistics and on-site activationEngage fans in a professional and enthusiastic manner, delivering high-quality brand interactions at events and activationsContribute to the planning and support of tentpole campaigns, retail promotions, and youth-focused community programsCompile post-event recaps and help evaluate consumer behavior insights to inform future fan development strategiesMaintain proactive communication and a team-first mindset while working across departments and with external partnersSupport special projects and internal initiatives as assignedUphold attendance throughout the seasonWhat you’ll bring to the role:Problem solving abilities including creative thinking and a professional approach when faced with challengesStrong written and verbal communication skills and customer service orientationIntegrity when handling consumer data and managing ticket distributionAbility to think analytically and present data-driven solutionsDesire to work in sports, marketing or promotions industries is preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPointBi-lingual abilities are a plus including Spanish/English, sign language or other fluenciesAdditional Details:This is a part-time, hourly position reporting to the Fan Development Coordinator. The work schedule will not exceed 30 hours per week and will include some Thunder home games, including potential post-season games. The primary work location will be Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. A valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation are required. This role will involve local and regional travel to support events, with occasional overnight stays as needed. Physical requirements may include lifting up to approximately 50 pounds, working in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions, and working in environments with loud noise and flashing lights.The Thunder recognizes that teams with a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills make a stronger company.
