Engineering Director

Direct and oversee the operation, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering design or commissioning projects and process-related activities
Direct design teams of project managers, engineers, and technical staff in developing building designs that support client requirements and schedules
Direct commissioning teams of commissioning agents and technicians to support client requirements and schedules
Delegate projects among engineering or commissioning staff according to specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, and project requirements
Approve process specifications and design or commissioning standards
Review engineering designs for accuracy and compliance
Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors
Develop new and expanded business based on successful delivery of existing projects
Lead presentations for marketing and business development for projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited program
• Acceptable degree alternatives: Engineering Technology / Construction Management Degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
• Alternative minimum qualification: minimum 15 years of experience as a Project Manager for the Company
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project experience
• Professional Engineering License
• Ability to lead presentations for marketing and business development for projects
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
• Preferred: Project Management Certification from a certifying agency (PMI)
• Ability to travel 30% of the time to job sites/office locations
• Ability to attend job site meetings and walk job sites under construction
• Ability to work prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer
• Ability to climb stairs and remain stationary, often kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
• Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
