Sr. Credit Analyst

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site | Monday-Friday A growing commercial finance organization is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join its risk and underwriting team. This position will play a critical role in evaluating creditworthiness, assessing financial risk, and supporting lending decisions for business financing transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing financial statements, cash flow, credit reports, and business performance metrics while working in a fast‑paced lending environment. Responsibilities Review credit reports, background checks, public records, liens, judgments, bankruptcies, and UCC filings Analyze financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, accounts receivable reports, and cash flow documentation Assess borrower creditworthiness and recommend lending decisions Structure and price financing solutions based on risk analysis and company guidelines Prepare detailed credit presentations and supporting documentation Partner with underwriting and leadership teams on complex transactions Communicate directly with business owners and internal stakeholders regarding financial information and credit decisions Monitor industry trends and emerging credit risks Assist with the enhancement of credit policies, procedures, and lending programs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, commercial lending, business financing, or related fields Strong financial statement analysis and cash flow analysis skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience evaluating business credit risk Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial lending, alternative lending, business financing, or merchant cash advance environments Salesforce experience Experience mentoring junior team members Knowledge of business loan structuring and pricing Pay Transparency Notice Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training licensure and certification requirements office location and other geographic considerations other business and organizational needs As required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
