Facilities Operations Technician

The YMCA of Yonkers is seeking a Facilities Operations Technician to support the daily maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of its six-story facility, which includes community program spaces, administrative offices, and a 75-unit Single Room Occupancy (SRO) residence. This position performs a combination of maintenance, environmental services, inspections, event support, and work order completion to help ensure the YMCA remains safe, clean, and welcoming for residents, members, staff, and guests. Working closely with the Superintendent and Building Engineer, the Facilities Operations Technician plays an important role in maintaining facility operations and supporting the YMCA's commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for the community. High school diploma or GED required. Two to three years of experience in facilities maintenance, environmental services, property operations, or a related field preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building repairs. Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, hand tools, and maintenance equipment. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties including bending, climbing, walking, and extended standing. OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Safety Training preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days. Ability to obtain additional certifications as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr YMCA
