Physical Therapist Assistant

Provide skilled physical therapy services to residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Implement treatment plans designed to improve residents mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities. Deliver direct therapy services such as therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities. Monitor and report resident progress and any changes in condition to the supervising PT. Assist in resident assessments and contribute to care planning and documentation. Educate residents and caregivers on safe exercise techniques and promote carryover outside therapy sessions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system. Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment and assistive devices. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support coordinated care. Adhere to regulatory requirements, professional standards, and ethical guidelines. Maintain active PTA licensure and meet continuing education requirements. Work primarily in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting, collaborating within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
