Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Lab Technician near Sioux City, SD.

Contract to Hire
Shift: Full time and Part Time hours available
Compensation: $18-19/hr for no degree or AS degree;$21/hr to start with a Bachelor's degree

No experienced required; training provided!
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. This role involves handling samples, performing analyses, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies.
Responsibilities:

• Homogenize samples following standard protocols.
• Assist with cleaning laboratory carts, glassware, and racks.
• Maintain the cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces.
• Maintain and update records of all quality activities as required by Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
• Perform applicable testing under supervision, ensuring proper proficiency and training.
• Maintain and verify laboratory equipment.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's in Biology, microbiology, chemistry (Preferred)
• Interest in Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field, or commercial laboratory experience (Preferred).

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in English (Required).
• Basic reasoning skills (Required).
• Basic mathematical skills (Preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Required).

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, move, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms.
• Capable of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to talk, hear, and occasionally taste or smell.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 15 lbs.
