Registered Nurse - Birthplace

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and guiding patient/family teaching, along with overseeing the activities of other nursing personnel. The RN is trained to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment, ensuring a safe environment for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
• Engage in patient/family teaching and direct the activities of other nursing staff.
• Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition and treatment responses.
• Utilize the chain of command to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care.
• Maintain standards of care within the Birthplace.

Schedule

This position operates on a schedule from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Completion of the Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.
• Completion of the Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam.
• Current certifications including COVID-19 Vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Fit Test, Tdap, Varicella, and TB Test.
• Driver's License/State ID required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
