Health Information Specialist

You will provide customer service to our clients, patients and staff, supporting both records and compliance departments while maintaining confidentiality. You will ensure client and provider information is updated in client charts and accurately identified. You will be a point of contact for client records request and fulfill the requests within the department's timeline.

Job Summary:

You will work with all Clinica Family Health & Wellness staff to review and answer records/compliance questions as they come in. You will review subpoena or court orders and process accordingly. You will report to the Program Manager in an on-site position.

Profile:

• Do you have experience ensuring clients' information is accurate, safe, confidential and is available for future visits or provider review?
• Have you worked with clients/patients who may have been in a crisis?
• Are you familiar and confident with state and federal confidentiality laws?
• Have you worked in a role where you developed an efficient and effective organizational system for your work?
• In your experience, have you worked with an interactive, supportive, and cooperative team environment?

What We Need:

• HS diploma or GED equivalent required
• Three (3+) years' general office experience, including 2 years' medical records
• Working understanding of State and Federal Compliance laws
