Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Pulmonary & Observation

Location

South Charleston, WV

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day and Night Shifts Available (12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 6:45 PM–7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Pulmonary & Observation unit serving adult and geriatric populations with respiratory diagnoses and general medical conditions
• Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, Dopamine (low-dose renal perfusion), and Amiodarone per protocolli> Perform trach care (trach collar or room air only; non-vented) and manage respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow O2
• Review telemetry monitor strips each shift in coordination with monitor techs and charge RNs
• Float to Med-Surg units or the Emergency Department to care for boarded patients as needed
• May be asked to serve in a Charge Nurse role with potential cross-training opportunity

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Background in Med-Surg, Telemetry, and/or Critical Care with experience managing critical drips
• Demonstrated trach care experience (non-vented patients)
• Strong cardiac assessment and telemetry interpretation skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with peritoneal dialysis
• Med-Surg or Telemetry background with a strong cardiac focus
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to cross-train into the Charge Nurse role
