Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

Overview: Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is recruiting Medical‑Surgical Nurses to support the VA San Diego Healthcare System located at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92161. Multiple shift schedules are available. Employees must acknowledge that schedules may change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. The Medical‑Surgical RNs must work cooperatively as a team in all assignments at the facility. Responsibilities Accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age‑specific components. Considers all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stage, state of health, race and culture, values, and previous experiences. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Poised and articulate in communicating with people of varied educational levels and varied ethnic backgrounds. Works cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignments. Participates in unit/program‑level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs. Physical demands: All candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift. Must lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs; carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance; push/pull with 30 lbs of force. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN). Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Two (2) years of recent Medical‑Surgical RN work experience is required. Pay Pay Range: $44.79 - $49.29 hourly.
