Porter- Housing and Transportation

Performs a variety of cleaning and housekeeping duties for MSMC Residential Realty buildings and is responsible for the overall cleaning of apartments and commons areas.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent GED and a good command of the English language (i.e. read, write and understand instructions in English).

• Some general work experience

Responsibilities

• Assists Superintendent and Handyperson in repairs, as needed.

• Assists above team as assigned (i.e. emergency work and/or special assignments designated to the Superintendent).

• Performs general cleaning of vacant apartments in preparation for move-in of new tenants.

• Cleans appliances in apartment (stove, refrigerator, etc.) after moving-out of tenants.

• Cleans common areas of building, which include the sweeping and mopping of floors in hallways, lobby areas and laundry room facilities.

• Bundles and removes all garbage and recyclables to designated sidewalk locations for

• Department of Sanitation pickup.

• Must present a neat appearance and wear uniform at all times.

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Compensation Statement

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $32.173 - $32.173 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
